TOI

Etelagi (Mother) Me (Kendra) Sului (Father) - 2013, Rotorua Blue Lake

This is a image of me and my parents at the National Outrigging Secondary Competition. We just won our first gold and made school history by winning a National title for Auckland Girls after 7 years. This picture helps me to remember the time where i first started as a paddler. It reminds me of how far I have come. It reminds me of all the obstacles I have faced alongside with my parents. As a kid I've always been different to everyone else in my family even being left handed, i was the odd one out but as i grew older I started to find my interest. Which was in art and underground hip hop.

                            VOICE

Art to me is about sharing my experiences and obstacles with everyone around me. It's about finally having a voice of my own to share with the world and show them how i see things. I enjoy art because there is no limit to what we can create and mould my craft in my own individual way.
